Re: Speeding summons

So despite speed sign recognition and speed camera alert I have recieved a speeding summons in the post today. First one in over 40 years of driving. Apparently a mobile unit caught me at 46mph in a 40 limit on a country road, that's just 1mph over the allowed leeway. If I had been intentionally sp...

If you're still in D or R, you need to press long so it switches to P, applies parking break and then switches off. However, lately i just slip my finger over the P button to put it...

Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.

I have an auto box. If I am stopped and in either D or R I can just press the ignition button and the parking brake is automatically applied, P is selected and the engine switched off. If I am in Neutral I can't do this, I have to select P first. Don't understand why there is a difference. In some ...

Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.

In the manual it says: "To switch off the car: Press the start button - the car is switched off. If the gear selector for cars with an automatic gearbox is not in position P or if the car rolls: Press the start button and hold it depressed until the car is switched off". So what happens if...

Re: Individual mode settings

Yes, that's the Individual mode I'm referring too.

In the screen shot see point "4.1 From here you can select your preferences.".

Not to worry, it isn't a big deal. I just like to understand things.

Re: Pilot Assist

Is it basically an adaptive cruise control + automatic steering? But then we need to touch the wheel every 30 seconds. I don't quite understand this function It's a safety function - it keeps you from hitting the cars around you and keeps you on track, say if falling to sleep at the wheel. It's not...
