Re: Heater fan blowing very hot air, not adjustable.
I have had this twice now. I tried turning off the engine when at the traffic lights. That did not work. Only after stopping the car and allowing the ignition to turn off after the usual delay did the heating reset.

Re: Data SIM - AGAIN!!!
Why pay for a separate data SIM? I find the data allowance on my phone more than enough if I restrict any major data downloads to my home wifi when parked outside. I'm with Tesco Mobile and it connects to the internet as soon as I start the car.

Re: Smart phone integration
Can't you achieve the same thing through bluetooth? I can play all my MP3 and MP4 files this way. What additional functions do you get with phone integration?

Re: Insurance
Thanks for that Bob You would think so, yes. The argument that you should inform your insurer is founded on the fact that the status of the vehicle has changed. A repair may have been carried out which could potentially affect the integrity, safety or reliability of the car at some time in the futur...

Re: Insurance
I hear the opinions; I was hoping someone might have some professional insurance knowledge to share. I am often surprised at how some people are totally unquestioning about things that may well come back to bite them. I think I shall pose the question to my insurer and I'll inform the forum accordin...

I recently discovered that when I take my vehicle to the dealer for maintenance/repair, they test drive it before doing any work. I have an issue with this for the following reasons: 1. I have not given or been asked to give permission for this. 2. I have not been given any paperwork/Ts & Cs tha...

Re: All cooked up
Interesting to hear other's experiences though I wouldn't bother with Customer services. Unsurprisingly, my dealer told me they couldn't replicate the problem. They gave me the same answer regarding the auto-shuffling of gears when trying to move off after a brief stop. I suspect the gear problem is...

All cooked up
My car had been parked for a hour or so. After setting off again, the climate control went into "desert storm" mode. Full fan speed on maximum heat. It became very hot, very quickly! The OAT was about 14 degs C and cabin selected temp was 21.5 degs. Selecting lower temps, even down to min ...

Re: T3 Automatic Gearbox Issues
I have a similar problem. If I have to brake firmly approaching a junction/roundabout and then, if it is clear to do so, attempt to continue straightaway, there is a second or so pause while the gearbox sorts itself out. It seems to be because the gearbox does not change down quickly enough under fi...

Re: Servicing Plan maintenance records
Carl, your points are well made. I am going to pursue my line of "enquiry" with Volvo HQ. A letter to an MD or CEO usually gets a response if not much in the way of action. However, the point is made. If we all just grin and bear it, nothing will change that's for sure. Perhaps it's all a ...
