Re: Automatic gearbox ...faulty?

Ok, an update I noticed this morning. So after starting the car and driving it for a short distance, it lurched forward again this morning. But it seems to do it at the same point every time. We live on a flat piece of road which turns into a downward slope. So after the car has changed from 1st to ...

Re: Automatic gearbox ...faulty?

Funny you should say this. I’ve experienced something similar. So, my start up process on a cold engine is - start the car and let the revs come down from 1500 to 800. Then I drive away slowly and with light throttle. As the car changes up from 2nd to 3rd, it sort of lunges a bit. I put it down to ...

Re: LifeHammer location ??

When I got mine, I didn’t want to advertise that I had one by leaving it in the car. I now keep it in the fridge. If anyone was to try and steal it, it’s the last place they’d look.

Re: windscreen cleaning

sorry if this topic has been covered before - a lot of pages listed under search on "windscreen", but how do you clean the very bottom of the windscreen inside? Sorry if this is a dumb question. But why do you need to clean it? Mine's 2 years old and have never cleaned the inside of the screen; onc...

Re: windscreen cleaning

I use this, it’s perfect for cleaning those hard to reach surfaces on the inside of the windshield https://www.amazon.de/PEARL-Scheibenreiniger-Auto-Windschutzscheiben-Wunder-Pump-Sprühflasche/dp/B077Z7Y87W/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=pearl+windschutzscheiben&qid=1596393544&sr=8-1 That’s a good id...

Re: ME & MUDFLAPS

Ha! You say you're not failing to understand, then you fail to understand. Rolex against Fake Rolex, quite straightforward, I understand that. If I had the money I'd go for Rolex, I'd never go fake. But when something is obviously exactly the same, and they really are, I'd go cheaper. As you say ea...

Re: ME & MUDFLAPS

I’m not failing to understand at all. Dealer mud flaps for the rear - £80 from Volvo. Your rear mud flaps were £15? It’s kind of like a Rolex from a market in Turkey. Looks the same, weighs the same, feels the same. To all intents and purposes, it’s a Rolex - except it’s not. Like I said, each to th...

Re: windscreen cleaning

Hi. I put a bath towel across the whole dash. I then wash the inside of the screen with a dish cloth and washing up liquid in water. The bath towel catches any excess water. Wipe with a tea towel and buff/shine with another dry tea towel. And yes, the wife won’t be too pleased about you using a bath...

Re: ME & MUDFLAPS

I bought the genuine Volvo Mudflaps - rear only. I can’t understand paying, in my case £40k, and skimping on cheap accessories from the likes of AliExpress and eBay. Each to their own I suppose.
