Re: Poll: Lead times ( from order till delivery)

I’ve had 3 new golfs, all with issues (major issues in a couple of cases). All in all, I’m happy with my car. It’s way more than a mid £20k car. Panel gaps and plastic quality all seem good to me. Perhaps I am going soft as I get older.

T5 performance

Hey I’ve been thinking about stuff since we are all the same boat and staying in. Anyway, on my only recent trip in the car to take supplies to the mother in law, I got thinking about the performance of our T5 engine. I haven’t really pushed it yet as it’s only done 900 miles but on the occasions wh...

Everyone has these😳. Until the OP puts a picture up, I think we will stay in the dark.

Re: Driving Journal not displaying routes

I’ve been using the VOC app on my iPhone since the day I picked up my car from the dealer. The log has never displayed the route driven, just the start and end locations. The Skoda app I used with my previous car logged and showed the route taken plus details of speed, g-force, revs, engine power e...

Re: NO spare wheel!

Hmm, not sure that’s entirely true. Lots of modern sealants are water based and therefore are easily washed away. As for tyre repair centres refusing to repair tyres that have been repaired by sealants, I suspect that’s more to do with the profit that can be had by selling the customer a new tyre. A...

Re: NO spare wheel!

Just taken delivery of a new T4 XC40. VERY disappointed to find that there is no spare wheel, not even a get-you-home, just one of those inflation packs (which I understand to be death to the tyre they are used on). The owners handbook (p503) explicitly states that there is a get-you-home wheel in ...

Re: XC40 MY20 brochure

Does anyone have the My20 version of the brochure you could post on here please? Ok, Google 2020 xc40 brochure. Select the 3rd site from the screen. Select the brochure. You then get all 46 pages. Simples. BTW, sorry that the images are not in the right order. Thanks for that but I am looking for t...

Re: Auto stop/start

I don’t know if this applies to the manual but in the auto if you come to a soft stop, the stop/start doesn’t cut in. Only a firm press of the peddle makes the system cut in.

Re: Keeping the car ticking over

We hadn’t used our car for about a week and a half until we used it Monday just gone. The rear pads had seized on to the discs. It was a horrible experience - selecting reverse, accelerating but nothing happening. Eventually, with a bit of a bang, the car moved. The car had been washed prior to it n...
