Re: Brake pads
I think the manual states (i've managed to try it once too) that when it descends it uses brakes. If you want it to use engine braking, you'll have to hit the throttle a bit, pinch it of sorts and it will disengage brakes

You can deactivate each separately. Rear Cross Traffic Alert has a small button on the reverse screen / when Reverse camera is engaged. Next to turning on/off the assistance lines

Re: R Design
I stand corrected then. i was researching prices for a quick replacement in case i get a puncture and that's when i saw those were run flats, incidentally there was no stock of normal ones so i assumed all P Zeros are run flats. Still haven't checked mine but i doubt they are now

Re: R Design
i have a 2020 T4 RD Pro (so 20 inches). I've tested the Inscription, as curiously they didn't have RDs on hand. Indeed, the ride seemed a bit smoother over potholes etc but i am a shit driver (read: aggressive) so i found it to roll way too much in roundabouts, short turns, or when overtaking briskl...

Re: Map Update - Version 1320
My display seems to be stuck with the small rotating reticle in the top right corner. I saw there was a map update a while ago, but i wasn't sure if it completed. What's more, i'm not sure if the car went into standby before or after the update. However, now it doesn't show any updates available, th...

Re: Remote start
you can get heated seats and steering wheel to start as well using remote start by setting up under Climate on the in-car display. one particular reason that springs to mind is that the car had a wrong exterior temperature reading when you remotely started it; it needs to be 10 degrees (Celsius) or ...

Re: Ride comfort/ Front headrest problem
I have a bit of a bad back. Get your missus to recline the seat a bit. It should IN THEORY take a bit of the pressure off and make it more comfortable. It works incredibly well for me, i did London-Lake District in one sitting and i had no problem, then drove back the same day with a single stop. RD...

Re: Ride comfort/ Front headrest problem
I think you can sweet-talk the dealer into getting you the Pro RD if that's the one you want, and switch the wheels with 18 or 19.
You'll have to double check, i remember reading the RD has larger brake calipers and as such won't fit rims under a certain diameter. Can't remember if it was 18 or 19...

Re: Volvo accident repair
In fairness, i've read about their accident repair when getting the car, it was in the bunch of papers i got and it was the same for my other car, a Mazda 3. They asked to be called first, not sure if there's a legal requirement / implication to do so, or just a way of chickening out. That said, if ...
