Took it to the dealer yesterday and turns out it was a software problem. It’s been recalibrated/updated and is back to normal. No oil needed.
Thanks for all your help. Bring back the dipstick!

Re: T3 Oil consumption
Thanks for that K1t, I had an Audi A3 that used to drink oil. It got progressively worse during the warranty period but was assured by the dealer that this was “normal”. When the warranty expired I was invited to contribute between £6000-10000 to get it fixed so I’m a little bit wary! The Volvo deal...

T3 Oil consumption
I have a T3 manual that has covered 5200 miles and the oil level is showing as low but doesn’t require topping up yet. Obviously if this is standard I’ll live with it but if it is unusual it is a bit of a worry. There is a thread on this on tech issues but only has a few replies. What is everyone’s ...

Re: T3 Oil level
Mine has now done 5000 and is near the bottom of the ladder. I’m a veteran of the Audi TFSI oil scandal of 10 years ago so I’m hoping it’s not history repeating itself.......

Re: Ceramics - do I, don’t i.
I went for gtechniq applied professionally, nowhere near £500 and looks great. I leave the car at airports a lot etc and a similar treatment worked very well on my previous V40. Is it worth it? Who knows, but it makes it very easy to clean!

Re: 2020my SIM Card
Thanks for your help. There is a similar thread running on the VOC forum about install issues. Looks like there is some problems with Apple’s IOS or Safari. I’ve just set it up using a Windows PC and it works a treat. All I need to do now is work out what the other stuff does.........

Re: 2020my SIM Card
Thanks,
It was connected to the cars hotspot, the car shows it as connected. The error is that for some reason the Vodafone site can’t see that it is connected. Did you already have a Vodafone SIM account or did you manage to register a new one?

Re: Free DATA for MY2020
I’ve followed the instructions to the letter. The car is connected but I can’t register for the account.
Apparently this is a known problem but has anyone got a fix?
I’ve started a thread in the technical/faults section
Thanks

2020my SIM Card
Has anybody had a problem registering for a Vodafone account? I get an error message from the Vodafone site saying I have to be connected to the car’s WiFi hotspot to register. The car says I’m connected and I wouldn’t be able to see the Vodafone site if I wasn’t. Apparently Volvo know it is a probl...
