Re: Electric Seats

I have had this issue a few times, then noticed I was catching my hand on a memory button which is near to the door handle. D'OH!! Thanks for the response. Can't be this as you need to keep the memory button depressed for the seat to move as much as it does. No, only if you are sitting in the car. ...

Re: Tuning

Nope, not naïve at all. I suppose there must be a market for tuning but as someone once pointed out, surely the car manufacturers, who invest millions into the optimum tuning and specifications of their engineering efforts, would know what's best. The tuning box for the T4 sounds like it upgrades t...

Re: What have you just found out about your XC40.

I noticed in a reflection from a shop window, that the white ‘Hammer’ running lights turn yellow when indicating. The rear wheel arches have small ‘winglets’. The tyres are Pirelli P Zero where I expected then to be Pirelli Scorpions. what are the winglets for? Just design detail I think. My neighb...

Re: Vibrations @55-80mph

Steve - interesting! In some ways I think it's good to be getting into electric early. As well as it being an emerging technology and therefore interesting and different you can enjoy the cheap "fuel" until the government have to find a way of replacing the lost duty on petrol and diesel. Also as lo...

Re: Panoramic roof - wet inside

So much for the OP only trusting factory fitted for adhesives and seals! XC40Warwick - Good to hear of your positive experience with the Northampton dealer. I bought from them and received very good service and will be going to them for services etc. even though I have two other dealers much closer ...

Re: Vibrations @55-80mph

Thanks for the update. As you say, financially you have come out of it pretty well, I thought it was going to be bad news. But where are you going to go now? One of the reasons I came to Volvo was to get away from VW Group cars. Fortunately my car doesn't suffer with the vibration (I'd notice it if ...

Re: Saw my twin travelling in front of me this morning

Same happened to me a few days ago, but was following me, and next day saw another one, months after getting mine.

In what way weren't they exactly the same? Would have thought they would be.

Re: MY21 LAUNCH

One of the reasons I moved from Volkswagen Group cars was because I couldn't have the spec that I wanted without some expensive things that I didn't want, which included AWD and a panoramic sunroof. Moving to a Volvo meant that I could have what I wanted. This appears to have changed now, though sti...

Re: Service - 3 month check.

I was offered it but didn't take it up. Can't really see the point of it. If you have a problem you can always book it in for rectification, otherwise the first service is fine for me. As said, 30 minutes is too short for other than a quick check over and is more about trying to increase the custome...

Re: Squint Steering Wheel

As long as there isn't a fault there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to get the steering wheel dead straight. As well as setting the alignment correctly they should adjust both sides until the steering wheel is in the correct position. Obviously this can't be done by moving the steering whee...
