Re: Auto Dipping Door Mirror - Adjustment
I have the dipping mirror but on all my previous cars didn't and like you managed fine by angleing the mirror down enough to see the kerb but still give a rearward view. Only time I found it too low was on infrequent motorway journeys when I angled it up a bit more. I also find that the mirror dips ...

Re: Newby from Wales
Width is 1863, so actually the widest. Not much between them really. I was coming from a Yeti and my wife from a Mini and though I liked the Tiguan my wife didn't want anything too big. Part of the visually large size is due to the height and shape of the bonnet. And then we ended up with an XC40 wh...

Re: Newby from Wales
Hi Surprised by what you say about the latest Tiguan. Having had a number of VWG cars I would have had one if I hadn't been forced to have AWD and a panoramic roof for the engine I wanted. I don't know how the dimensions compare but the XC40 is quite big. Anyway I'm glad that VWG "forced" me to look...

Mine's activated twice and it's turned off!
I hate this sort of intrusive and flawed tech.

Re: Screen crack sending sat nav mad?
They can, I've read on forums of windscreens breaking without impact damage due to incorrect fitment at the factory. Could be under stress or seated on a bump. It doesn't take much to crack a windscreen as found when working on a son's Punto a few years ago. Just accidently tapped the edge of the sc...

Re: Navigation completely useless.
No problems with mine either. Sounds as though it could be losing the signal intermittently so definitely a job for the dealer.

Re: Collision warning or autobrake activation etc?
I just have the two icons at the top of the screen and as part of my starting procedure turn them off.

Re: Collision warning or autobrake activation etc?
When on a trip a few weeks ago the Collision Avoidance activated even though it was turned off. I was catching a van that was turning left and as the back end came out I went onto the hatching slightly. No drama or excess speed just normal driving for a human! And no it wasn't the lane warning just ...

It's not good reading threads like this!
A friend never buys new cars. He's frightened to death of having to replace his elderly Golf when the time comes with a car that is a few years old.
