Re: New XC40

D. Don't know where you live but there is yellow warning out for gale force winds in Northern England tomorrow. Next week perhaps? TT

Re: MPG - Again :-)

Just a couple of points guys. Obviously how you use the car will have most effect on mpg but the mpg will always be higher in summer. Also I garage my car each night and this beats keeping it on a frosty drive or street (I live in frozen North East England!) so where you live has an effect. I measur...

Re: XC40 suitable for tall and small drivers?

Thanks to W and Andy - just the sort of informed experience I was looking for - very grateful.

Now the hard part, I have to discuss with my wife who gets very bored with car talk...........zzzzzzzzzz.

Re: XC40 suitable for tall and small drivers?

Thanks to B above. Good to know you both are happy so thats a boost for us too. Also the same will be the gearbox we opt for; we've only driven auto BMWs for the last 6 years and find it much the best for overall use. I don't think my projected T5 Inscription has a glass roof but no matter - it does...

Re: XC40 suitable for tall and small drivers?

Thanks to S. Of course we will but if there's a couple out there with similar problems now overcome, I'd be grateful for the full SP.

XC40 suitable for tall and small drivers?

My wife and I have a terrible dilemma in common with , I'm sure, a number of others. She is 5ft 1 and I'm 6 ft. Our last two BMW 3 series models are perfect for me because BMW make low slung 3 series cars for 6 footers and certainly not for women. So can anyone on the forum give me from experience a...

Re: For those still waiting - what other car would tempt you to cut your losses?

The reason I joined the forum is that after extensive research, I cannot go past the XC40 or the Seat Ateca Cupra (or Cupra Ateca as they now call it). I've costed up the BMW X2 M35i and the Audi SQ2. To get the spec of a T5 Inscription (OK a bit down on their bhp), you are paying around £45,000 bef...

Re: For those still waiting - what other car would tempt you to cut your losses?

I would loved to be able to get the XC60, but emissions meant there were very few SUVs I could by. The D3 FWD Manual is the only that comes under the obligatory 130g/km rule we have. I also need good lumbar supports after thrice being rear ended by other drivers. That leaves me with this and the Ev...
