Re: T3 Oil consumption

Happingj, my T3 has just covered 2600 miles and the oil top-up warning light came on and advising me to add 1ltr. of engine oil (about £8.40 from the dealer) To me as an Automotive engineer (retired) this is perfectly normal and as I would expect from a bedding-in, tight and high revving V V T i new...

Re: UK/Euro Spec XC40 Front Number Plate Bracket

Hi, I found that you don`t need to fit/use any form of number plate backing at all. Remove the existing plate to expose the original 6mm bolts holding the backing/mounting plate on, put the mounting plate over your new plates, mark the holes and drill thro`. You will find that std. 6mm nylon n-plate...

Re: Interior lighting

F.Y.I, my 2019 XC40 T3 R-Design (my2020 build) with no sunroof, has a pair of switchable spot/reading lights fitted into the centre-rear roof lining. These come on as interior lights when the door is opened. Picked it up July 30th 2019.

Reaching out!

Hi, I`m reaching out to any XC40 forum members in Holland and Belgium. Do any of you know a Volvo spares company in Holland called 'Vstore.nl' ? They have some pretty good prices for genuine Volvo spares and accessories, BUT, will ONLY deliver within Holland and Belgium. The question is can anyone h...

Re: Anyone else think the reversing light is not bright enough.

I can't believe that some people believe that reversing lights are there to indicate to others that you are reversing! They are there so that the driver can see when going backward after dark - at least, that's what they were for on every other car I've owned. Unfortunately on the XC40 the light is...

Re: Clutch Pedal Issue?

so I got a call (first one in 3 working days!) from the dealer this morning to come and collect my xc40 with the, expected statement of "we haven`t been able to recreate the fault, so you can come and collect your car" This I have now duly done. The service manager even took my car home with him las...

Clutch Pedal Issue?

Here`s an issue that I had this morning and I don`t recall seeing a post on this one? Taking the good lady to the local supermarket, about 4-5 miles away for a quick shop I had a somewhat concerning problem when the clutch/pedal suddenly stopped working! As I entered the car park I went to put my fo...

Re: Young at heart

Nice models........Lego-Blocks just love it. My Son and Grandson are now both well into it and always making one thing or another, so a few years ago, I decided to make some models, along a military theme, just to keep them company, you understand! (very addictive :P )

Re: Auto Handbrake

I always assumed that the centre instrument AUTO brake symbol (top-centre) was GREEN when the handbrake was applied and turns to RED when full wheel braking is applied..........could be wrong?

Re: T3 r design + mods

Some nice touches there stavroskon, imo! 8-) As far as I can see, blacked up grill emblem, body coloured wheel arch protectors, lower side mouldings plus front and rear lower bumper mouldings and of course blacked up alloys.........certainly looks well with the grey. (If I`m to be honest a little li...
