Re: Service package

Rockford wrote: Tue Oct 12, 2021 10:21 pm I enquired about one today for my 6 month old T5 PHEV to cover the first three services, a brake fluid change and its first MOT and it came to £1050 or thereabouts vs. a 'pay as you go' price of £1350.
So not a million miles off yours when you add in the two extra MOTs.
Thanks, good to know

Re: Service package

Hi My issue is that my car was a 2 month old ex-demo so I couldn't qualify for a new car service plan. Now my car is 3 years old and the service plan being offered is £1199 for 3 yrs including 3 MOTs. ( I would definitely pay £599 for a 3 yr plan if available ) Anyone in a similar position to me, th...

Re: Service package

this is very useful. My XC40 is now three years old and my local dealer offered a 3yr service plan which would include 3 services and three MOTs for £1199. The recent MOT was £45 so subtracting three MOTs would make the service plan £1064 which seems more than any other quotes I can see here. I know...

Re: Excess condensation?

Thanks for your reply. I do have a panoramic view and haven’t noticed a leak but will have a thorough look tomorrow. Secondly, I usually leave the AC on but do like it warm, say 22C. Am fairly certain it’s not set on recirculate but will check. Lastly, I noticed this condensation after not having to...

Excess condensation?

This is the first winter with my XC40 and I'm noticing a lot of condensation on the inside windows on cold days, enough to need a decent wipe. I know all cars can get it, but it seems an awful lot more than my previous Audi and BMW. Just wondering whether I should expect this or does this seem unusu...

Re: USB recognition

Thank you all: formatting to exFAT worked a treat and it works for any format bar apple's own! Just another question, and I seem to recall I may have come across this in another thread, but I loaded a few albums just to give it a try, and on the display, I'm just getting a list of ALL the tracks and...

Re: Carpet/Parcel Shelf Fibre?

Glad I read this as I'm experiencing exactly the same thing and I thought I was going mad. Agree, it is an extremely unpleasant sensation and I suspect I'll have to keep some gloves in the car. This will be a real pain as I like to take my mountain bike in the car and have to put the rear seat down ...

USB recognition

Slightly technical question here. I have a Mac and formatted a USB stick as Mac Journaled. Have loaded both mp3 and Apple Lossless but the car isn't recognising the USB stick. Any ideas? The USB port works as I've plugged a phone into it and the USB stick works on my Mac so its not a dud. Thanks

Re: Spare wheel retro-fit

Picked up my T5 today.

Am just writing this in case it could help anyone. I got my dealer to match a quote of £250 ( from Paul Rigby, Birmingham dealer) for a retro-fit of a spare wheel.
