Re: Start/Stop

Have you left off auto hold? Car is supposed to re-start when you take foot off brake - it's only when auto-hold is on that it waits for accelerator press.

Re: Software Update - May 2020

For those who didn't know, all updates are listed online - though they're sometimes lacking in detail:

Re: MY2O MY21 R Design.

And the rear headrests don't fold aarrggghh😭😭😭😭 Are you sure? I thought that they all fold manually & have electric fold if you spec the versatility pack?? Is a backward step though as my car has electric folding seats as well as headrests and I managed to swerve keyless entry - keyless entry is no...

Re: NEWBIE!

Welcome both - enjoy your new cars. Yes, you do get AEB in all situations, not just in cruise. I find it too sensitive though & have set the reaction to 'late'. My recommendations for a new car are: Matte screen protector Sunglasses holder to replace grab handle (though taller drivers might find it ...

Re: Volvo torque converter - what do you think?

Have to say that I was very happy with the V60 that I had for 8 years before my XC40. I would have probably gone for another but my patience ran out waiting for the new model. I miss the versatility afforded by an estate, the load carrying ability of the XC40 is nowhere near as good. I too would go...

Re: Volvo torque converter - what do you think?

My auto box is faultless and easily as good as the X3 I used to drive. I read about the hesitancy before buying (2 years ago) and tried it out on the demonstrator - no problem at all. My main issue with the auto box is that when I drive my wife's manual A-class I forget to change gear!! Glad to hea...

Volvo torque converter - what do you think?

Well, this is a sort of goodbye from me as, for various reasons, I've done a deal on a new V60 Cross Country. Unsurprisingly, my new purchase has led me to watching way too many utube videos & nearly every one criticises the Volvo auto box as being sluggish & hesitant. My previous 2 cars have been V...

Re: SOS Button

@squint. No, no reply from your Volvo dealer. That's enough to decide that I wouldn't trust them, or nothing has been done to fix the issue. I wonder why my car is no longer on the website? - unless they’ve sold it! Good job I have a screen shot of when it was. I wonder if the dealership Paul Rigby...

Re: SOS Button

I believe there needs to be more 'button pushing' to move this forward and get a quicker resolution :D ;) I understand your sentiment but, having been slightly alarmed at what I would consider a quite tight staffing level for VOC, I wouldn't want to find out I was party to clogging their systems wh...

Re: SOS Button

I am unsure what you mean by that - my car was at dealership for 5 weeks - I was in constant contact with them and also Volvo technical at head office - in all that time they could not fix the SOS problem - the car was then rejected. Would you be willing to press the SOS button in your car and try ...
