Re: Parking brake

Hi there, In one of the carwow review, it was stated and was demonstrated that the seat belt and parking brake are interlocked together. I unintentionally drove on without buckled up yesterday. Can anyone here confirm which setup is correct? Thank you. G Your car will not suffer the problem in the ...

Re: Pilot Assist/ACC

Thanks all for your answers. So if my understanding is correct, if I turn ACC on, Pilot Assist also turns on? I guess it’ll all become clear in about 3 weeks once it eventually arrives. No, once the ignition has been switched off, the default position on pressing the central button is ACC only - pr...

Re: Pilot Assist/ACC

Fingers crossed for you but, never mentioned in any press release or in owner's manual. Also V/S60 accessory comes with this note: This is only an upgrade of IntelliSafe Assist. The offer applies only for customers who already have IntelliSafe Assist and Sensus Navigation as retrofitted accessories ...

Re: Pilot Assist/ACC

The other advantage of using pilot assist is that if your driving in eco mode the car will base its velocity upon the terrain, for example if it knows your about to go up a hill/down a hill it will allow the speed to slow going up and then allow the speed to catch up going down. In all driving mode...

Re: Vibrations @55-80mph

Yep, good to see progress being made. Shame there was a problem in the first place as vibrations are like a bad smell - once you've tuned into it, it never fully leaves. There's an interesting new software update just been released - it's common to see engine management & transmission tweaks include...

Re: XC40 Revision

OK, understand your concern. If you like spirited driving down country lanes, downshifting into bends, paddles are a must. However, if you just need the right gear for an overtake, you maybe surprised at how non-slushy the box is, particularly in dynamic mode. Manual changing is a pull of the gearsh...

Re: Pilot Assist/ACC

To answer the original question, Pilot Assist is ACC with the ADDITION OF steering assist.

It's fantastic and, with your MY20 model, you'll get the benefit of steering vibration whenever it loses sight of the lines.

Re: XC40 Revision

I saw in one of the UK auto mags online that the revision for UK has just been announced. New engine choices and colouyrs and updates to Intellisafe etc. Interesting, thanks for the pointer and so following some Googling: I see Fleet News is saying: 'Furthermore, all versions with an automatic tran...

Re: T4 R Design Pro ordered - changing from Jaguar XE 25T

What octane rating do you petrol owners put in? I use Shell V power and consistently get well over 45 mpg. I use the highest octane when I'm at Tesco but find that, at most garages, the price premium for the special juice is not cost-effective. Bear in mind that the T3 is in a completely different ...

Re: Finally delivered!

Not as good as the Tiguan one & better suited to 'standard' spectacle size/shape, rather than Bonno style goggles but, still worth it.
