Re: C40 review
Actually, I think Bjorn's summary review was a good one. So many online car reviews are little more than a recitation of the car's specification. I don't need that - I'm perfectly capable of looking at the specs for myself. But what I am looking for is a subjective opinion from someone I trust as to...

Re: Current XC40 would you purchase again
Apologies, I'm a slight interloper here, having decided not to go ahead with an XC40 purchase a few months back (I went for a Q3 Sportback instead), but still interested in the XC40 landscape and might buy a Polestar 2 or conceivably an XC40 P8 (but provisional prices are stupidly expensive on that)...

Re: XC 40 RE CHARGE
Yes, have been considering it but agree that the price is OTT - probably too much to hope that it might come in under £40K, but current projected pricing is maybe £10K too high, so £45K might be acceptable (for a well-specc'd dual motor version). And a minor point for many I know, but I still feel m...

Re: NO spare wheel!
See the full EV Recharge XC40 doesn't even have the option of a spare. The reason is probably that the space is used by the battery and/or rear electric motor. I guess it would have been possible to work around this problem and still provide a spare but only at the cost of significant compromise to ...

Re: MY21 LAUNCH
I agree AJ05. Volvo will lose sales. I will be looking else where when the time comes to change if they haven't reversed this anti- customer bonkers decision. Not much consolation I know, but this was happening industry-wide well before the current virus situation. All manufacturers are now groupin...

Re: Does anyone regret buying an XC40?
The Q2 was a little small and had the most disturbingly brittle looking central screen. Brittle in the sense that it looked as if a quick push would break it off. It didn't retract into the dash. Yes, I don't take to the iPad stuck on the dash concept either - one of the reasons I got rid of my pre...

Re: Does anyone regret buying an XC40?
I was in the market for a car in the XC40 class over the past year and my shortlist came down to XC40 T5, Evoque P300 and Q3 45TFSI, which I really struggled to choose between despite numerous test drives. (I didn't include Toyota/Lexus because of their auto boxes, nor BMW which I just can't take a ...

Re: Android OS - upgrade MY2019+?
So it is not replaceable that piece of HW? I believe that just motherboard if required - another processor/memory/disk Well, potentially any piece of a car is replaceable of course - it's just a question of the time, effort and cost of doing so. I think the implication was that no upgrade is possib...

Re: Android OS - upgrade MY2019+?
What I've heard rumoured (but it's not official, so could be wrong) is that no upgrades will be possible because the Android OS also requires a significant hardware change/upgrade, which is not being fitted to current XC40 production. Disappointing but it does sound credible - at one level the chang...

Re: Electric XC40
Around 12 months away apparently. Wonder why they've decided to delay it - I'm sure it was said that availability was originally going to be around now, or at least in the next 2-3 months, but all we're getting this year is just the initial announcement/launch?
