Re: Car To Home WiFi

I updated the firmware on my TpLink RE450 wifi extender today and am now able to connect to my BTHub5 wifi without the security message i mentioned in an earlier post. I’m also now able to download map updates over wifi rather than via a USB stick - so much easier and you get the percentage complete...

Re: Car To Home WiFi

DieselDoug. Thanks for your help. I’ve just discovered that my problem lies with the firmware of the TPLink RE450 wifi range extender that i use to get a good wifi signal to my garage. There is a firmware update available that says it fixes the wireless compatibility with Volvo cars. I just need to ...

Re: Car To Home WiFi

DieselDoug. Now your car is connecting to your BTHub has the message changed? I can connect to my BTHub but get the following message even though my Hub is set to WPA2(AES).

Re: Car To Home WiFi

I get exactly the same message when connecting to my BTHub5 despite it being set to WPA2. However, it still allows me to connect ok. I’m wondering if its something to do with my wifi range extender?

Re: Thread for North West Europe Map data updates

Yes Spikebyt, i get the tiny rotating disc to show the map data is being uploaded to the car but nothing to indicate the percentage completion as described by hdasmith.

Re: Thread for North West Europe Map data updates

I certainly have no indication of percentage upload completion on any of my screens. Can somebody please confirm if the additional USB port you get with the Apple Carplay option in the UK is a USB3 port - has a blue centre? If its not, i cant understand the differing upload times that people are get...

Re: Thread for North West Europe Map data updates

Ive just finished uploading the latest NW Europe map update (V1243 2.68GB) to the car. It took a handful of local journeys (approx 1 hr of driving) plus another hour siting in the car to keep the ignition on to enable it to upload - so painfully slow! It took about half an hour to download onto my U...

Re: Spotlight opearation

Is it that you have lock on the steering and the ‘cornering lights function’ is being activated? That would switch on the fog light on the side the wheels are pointing and then if you switched on the fog lamps the other side would come on.

Re: Thread for North West Europe Map data updates

Why then do you not just download the North West Europe updates rather than the complete Europe map updates - they are much smaller in size. You can always download any other areas, if and when you visit.

Re: Sensus Screen Protector

Fitted a Brotect Matte protector yesterday and its a great improvement. It looks fantastic, no more reflections or greasy finger prints. Also, the non reflective finish exactly matches that of the drivers display. Its a must do improvement on looks alone before you even think about the protection it...
