Re: Double issue ; loss of power and city safety
manual here, the problem is solved when i lower gears. anyway the loss of power is momentarly, a couple of seconds, lowering gears may take longer ;) So far, I have only read about this issue with the T3 model and manual gears, not the D3. It's so surprising that I don't have time to lower gears. A...

Re: Double issue ; loss of power and city safety
I too have the loss of power issue. It always happens when going up a very gradual incline in 5th gear. It doesn't seem to matter what fuel level. I took it to the dealer today and they advise that it is a known issue by Volvo Technical and their recommendation is to use a higher grade fuel (eg. BP...

Re: Double issue ; loss of power and city safety
No on an xc40 but in the past I had a loss of power issue very similar to the one you describe in my V50. The cause was eventually identified as a faulty fuel pump. Everything was fine until my fuel level got to a certain point. It always seemed very random, but wasn't in the end, it was always whe...

Re: Double issue ; loss of power and city safety
Someone else on a french forum had the same issue with the loss of power.
It might come from an engine spark plug, I will ask next time if can check them.

Re: Double issue ; loss of power and city safety
Update : I got my car. The seat belt issue and other things like ESP, ESC, etc.. are no longer there, they have replaced the module. But, I still encounter the City Safety issue, so I will have to bring the car again. They said they saw nothing during the diagnostic, so I don't know how to explain t...

Re: Double issue ; loss of power and city safety
I keep my monologue in case others than me would encounter this problem.
I got news, it seems a module creates a short circuit, i hop to get more news tomorrow.
They said the spare part is in stock so it should be pretty quick.

Re: Double issue ; loss of power and city safety
Update: last Friday, many alarms appeared (seat belt, ESC, ESP, etc ... all disabled). I had to leave the car at the dealership and she will take a look. They suspect a weasel but I have a doubt because I had no problem to come in the morning, it's when I wanted to drive the car at noon that the pro...

Re: Poll: Lead times ( from order till delivery)
Can I ask, when you were notified your XC40 was in production, was it a fairly quick turnaround time from there on as at the moment, I cannot see the keys being in my hands withing the next two weeks! Thanks Hello, I didn't get any notification when the car entered production, just when the cars wa...
