Using Siri will also let you read and send texts, only read is available using Bluetooth.
I'm pretty sure when playing around with the car I've responded to texts using voice control when my android phone is bluetoothed to the car. Not sure if the same applies to iphone.

Re: NO spare wheel!

You're ok if you have recovery as they carry multifit wheels to get you going if your tyre is not repairable at the roadside. But I'd rather have my own spare so i ordered one with the car even if only a space saver. Worth it for peace of mind. [Nearly] Every car manufacturer is the same now this is...

Re: Sat Nav

My current location is always showing in the dash (in between speed and rpm/eco dials). Can't remember how I got it there though...must be in a setting somewhere

Re: NO spare wheel!

It's not penny pinching as such..it is more about getting the vehicle weight down for CO2/mpg testing. Every manufacturer (near as dammit) does exactly the same. Many manufacturers don't even have a spare wheel available as an option.

Re: NO spare wheel!

The brochures and online material I used to specify the car were clear on the matter. As was the optional extra of a space saver spare wheel which I purchased. Car manuals usually cover all options even though you might have not selected them. In the same way they cover diesel and petrol cars.. Or t...

Re: MPG

Oh yes good was worse than mine. Had mine about a year.. I had b pillar rattle... A ventilation fan that kept stopping... Early oil changes and worst of a the drivers seat was giving me terrible back pain. I'd seen on the forums that the DS had engine issues (derv) so it helped my decision to get sh...

Re: MPG

I moved from a DS too. Very happy with the petrol I do about 10k miles per annum. Don't miss the smell, noise and additional hassle (like DPF) of a derv. I average 36mpg generally...can get higher when doing some longer journeys

Re: MY21 LAUNCH

I agree AJ05. Volvo will lose sales. I will be looking else where when the time comes to change if they haven't reversed this anti- customer bonkers decision.

Re: AC - on or off

Leave it on..but use the different settings that reduce its use as appropriate..eg eco when I can (with reduced A/C) unless it is rainign and it steams up...I then switch to my own setting which is eco with the addition of extra air con.

Never had a compressor fail

Re: Glasses Holder

I fitted one of these. Great items especially at that price. I saved by using a UK Volvo dealer on eBay.
