Re: Car park headroom
Not long after getting mine I triggered the under car boot release when trying to connect the tow bar electrics - boot opened straight onto the bike rack

Re: Nuisance Service Message
I couldn't get the book service from car thing to work at all. And on asking about it was told be the dealer that its a waste of time.
They also advised me that there wasn't a way to remove the service due message until it was reset at the service.

Re: Speeding summons
I've been twice, the most recent one was in the last year and it was far better than the one several years ago. I found with both that I was surprised by just how little other drivers actually know, but it's good that they're being educated a bit with it too. Both times I've been done recently I've ...

Re: New Owner - XC40 Irritations!
Point 1 - I raised this at my 3mth check and was told that Volvo believe it's unnecessary as the car will set the lights properly - I think it's bad as like you, I'd want to know if I need to override it and put the main lights on when in rain etc. My hubby rarely drives mine so he just lives with t...

Re: Pilot Assist
I use it on a regular basis and I think it's every 10secs you get the orange warning to touch the steering wheel and I thought it was up to 10mph that it didn't need that, not 20 as above. I really like it in stop start traffic on the motorway but I won't miss it much when I change cars.

Re: Auto Handbrake
Problem is with not turning it on you will dazzle the drivers behind you at traffic lights etc by keeping your foot on the brake pedal. Easy to turn off when tight manoeuvring needed. That's absolutely wrong, auto hold keeps the rear lights on. I've sat before another XC40 and with the stops being ...

Selling my XC40 D4 First Edition
I've assumed most people would only buy an XC40 from a dealer when it's less than two years old, but just in case anyone is desperate to get one I am looking to sell. I'm selling as we've replaced the need for a big car with a VW Transporter van, so I'm aiming to replace the XC40 with a smaller, mor...
