Remote start activates alarm

I eventually took delivery 26 October. I must say that I really love the car. It has surpassed all expectations. Just one nagging problem is that when using remote start, the alarm activates itself. This happened on first attempt and then it seemed to be ok. This morning, however, the neighbourhood ...

Re: Delivery Date

Just heard from dealer and there appears to be “a few days delay” due to availability of parts. Not bothered after such a long wait, but cannot wait now  I have just done a round trip to Kent of 1200 miles. Would you believe, I still have not seen one XC40 on the road. I now need to source a d...

This message is aimed at those who have already taken delivery and/or those that are well versed in such matters and prepared for the big day! I ordered in March and keep being told to expect it mid October. It would be nice to get a surprise call to hear it's coming earlier though. I was feeling like I was going to be last...
I also ordered in March and latest estimate is Factory Complete 16 October. The race is on😜

Re: Tyres

Mines is coming with 20" wheels; If I decide not to do a swap with somebody for 19", I will run Michelin Cross Climate (+) 255/45/20's, they are expensive; I would run them all year round. I don't think standard UK oem's on an XC40 will be all-season If I do swap to 19", I will probably run Nokian ...

Tyres

Can somebody please tell me whether the standard tyres on an FE are all season or not.
Thanks in advance .

I am still deliberating over whether to go for winter tyres or not. This knowledge will help greatly.

Re: Polestar

I have now taken the plunge and have secured Polestar at today’s price. The dealer feels that it is very worthwhile especially for me, coming from a very quick Audi SQ5. Given all the feedback from Forum members, I did not need a lot of convincing. I have decided to take delivery without Polestar an...

Re: Polestar

You probably read it here........ https://www.topgear.com/car-news/suvs/polestar-will-make-your-regular-volvo-more-drifty Polestar makes a difference in all modes as far as I know. Maybe they mean the extra power to the rear wheels only takes effect when stability control is off or in dynamic mode....
