Re: Spanner in the works
If you have ordered a car I am pretty sure that the next local dealer will pick up the order and the after care. Call Volvo customer services....

Re: Can't wait to get rid
Write a letter to the dealership, cc Volvo UK telling them you are rejecting the car as not manufactured to an acceptable standard or fit for purpose. If it is on finance with Volvo Finance, speak to them first as they need to be on board and support you. Close your letter by asking the garage to le...

Re: Newly ordered XC40...but being tempted by Q5
I have been an Audi man for years, just love the cars (2x TT's, 2x A5's). My last car was a Golf GTE which I thought was just an Audi with a VW badge, but no chance, not a patch on quality. When I was looking around I shortlisted the XC60 and Q5. Had extended test drives in both and chose the XC60....

Re: Lease vehicle - changes
Yeah running them all year round. Keep the existing ones and put them back on when I return the car at the end of the lease. I’d get 3 winters out of them and feel like you say, run them and don’t chance it. I’m out in the sticks near Penistone and the last winter was a nightmare to be honest altho...

Re: Lease vehicle - changes
OK, spoke with the lease = there's a £50 'cherished plate management fee' hmmmm so I think I'll not bother and leave it on my Vespa. Tyres - no problem changing. Now just to determine whether to change to the crossclimates now or see how next winter goes. I live in quite a hilly rural part of Sheff...

Re: MPG - Again :-)
It’s not that i’m going to give up the car but I have the broucher (?) and it says ”58.9 combined” for an Inscription D3 auto. If the car isn’t getting that or close after 3000 miles I am going to take it further cause I did base my car buying on that. Good luck with that. Official figures are in l...

Re: MPG - Again :-)
Took delivery of my T4 AWD R-Design yesterday and MPG is already a real concern. Just been out at lunchtime in town and it did 21 mpg, admittedly with lots of starting and stopping, but my previous BMW X3 - heavier, manual gearbox - would have beaten that. From other posts it seems like mpg will im...

Re: Hard Choices, T5 or T4 with “extras” ?
As you said its subjective but what I would say is if you haven't already, have a chat with your local dealer as you can get some extra as (can't remember the title) dealer extras so they don't count to the sale price of the car as theyre not on the original sales invoice. That's a loop hole I wasn...

Re: Volvo - An "old man's car" no more!?
Well there's been nearly 30 more votes cast since yesterday and this has lead to a bit of a swing towards younger owners. The poll seems to show quite a good spread of ages although the median age is still somewhere in the 40-50 group. This suggests to me that Volvo isn't exclusively an 'old man's ...
